COSM

COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling) is Roland's own technology to emulate existing sounds. In 2006 COSM was introduced to BOSS compact users in the AC-3 Acoustic Simulator but the technology had been used in recording studios (the BR series) and guitar effect processors for several years before that.
